Renaissance is an assembly that recognizes the honor students (GPA 3.0-4.0). My students put on a huge production for Renaissance by planning, constructing props and set designs, hosting the assembly which includes recognition of honor students, contests/games, and prizes. They select a theme, for example, pirates; they design projects by drawing and sometimes making models. They select the materials needed and then in groups work on making the items. In the past, they have constructed a life-sized pirate ship, waterfall area, dinosaurs, Jurassic Park Jeep, etc. A Cricut machine would greatly help my students design and make their tasks easier.
