It is important for me to give our students current reliable news about what is going on in our world that is developmentally appropriate. Now more than ever we must teach about our past to inspire change in the future. This project will give our students access to magazines each month that are filled with topics that will generate authentic conversations about what is happening in our world. They will access these at school and home using magazines and online. These magazines also foster a sense of community and acceptance of our cultural and ethnic differences, so we can learn from each other. Our hope is to promote knowledge and instill compassion for others in our classroom.
