My students are a part of Chicago Public Schools, so they will be experiencing distance learning during the 1st Quarter. One of the most important skills we try to instill during the first few weeks of school is the importance of joyful reading. To us, this means learning to choose accessible books that excite you and then creating the habit of sitting down with that book for an increasingly focused amount of time. This is a challenge when I cannot see my students face-to-face, so we're going to be creating "Book Bundles."
