I have chosen outdoor equipment such as soccer balls and a net and hula hoops that will promote gross motor development and exercise. When children play hopscotch they will be counting their jumps and learning numbers. They will run obstacle courses instead of just running around in an empty field. Children will also develop eye-hand coordination when using the ring toss and bean bag toss games as well as the air scoops. This play equipment will also promote social-emotional well being during the "new normal" of social distancing because the children will be having fun and staying safe! Recess will be exciting again!
