My students are working from home for now and for the foreseeable future due to COVID-19. These materials will be divided amongst them to be used in their homes to help them be more engaged and have therapy be more effective. I have found that therapy is the most successful virtually when my children are able to do something physically with me. Materials such as the plastalina clay will be perfect for this helping them strengthen hand muscles while manipulating the clay. The washable crayons help me to make materials that can be used multiple times and they can practice writing/drawing on the materials with washable markers that wash away. The water color paper has a thicker consistency so it is easier to cut and color on for children with weaker hands and fine motor skills. These tools will be so beneficial in helping my students develop skills that are required to be built on for the rest of their lives.
