The books that I have requested will build our school library with newer titles that many of the public libraries have. Our students live quite a distance from a local public library and are not able to check out books. This project will request will help provide engaging, fun and requested titles and solid subject matter to all of the students in all grade levels as they all use the library. Many of the books that have been requested are lower leveled reading and chapter books that will help build confidence with struggling readers. Our check out process and library use is very different this year and having some new titles makes a once a week trip to the library even more intriguing. Students are so excited about new books arriving and they are eager to check them out. Many have long bus rides and this is a quiet activity for them to keep busy. A new book is a gift!
