In every classroom the use of technology in learning is becoming more and more prevalent. Students are using their Chromebooks everyday to help them grow and learn. In our classroom we use and ELA and Math program several times throughout the week. These programs and great and individualizing learning to each students and helping them grow in important foundational reading and math skills that will continue to add on to throughout their education. One problem my students have when on their Chromebooks is not all my students have headphones. This creates a very noisy and distracting environment for students who are trying to focus on the directions that their computer is giving them. Having headphones for all students will allow them to be able to clearly hear the directions that they are being given instead of having to hear directions from several different computers throughout the room. They will be able to maintain focus longer and work more independently during times they are learning on their computer. Not only are students able to build on what they are learning in school with the skills on their computer but it will also allow me to be able to use this time to lead small groups to continue to grow students even more. My students will love using headphones to help them be more successful during independent Chromebook time.
