To begin with, as a veteran teacher, I understand first-hand how important building a fundamental reading foundation is. In Kindergarten, students are inquisitive and curious about their world. Next, their being able to make real-life connections with characters in stories, foster their inquiries about their world, and exploring through reading, will support all areas of development: social, emotional, and physical. Furthermore, having an available, hands-on classroom library for my eager readers, will continue their love of discovery through reading. In conclusion, Mrs. Reid's Readers will read today, and lead tomorrow!

About my class
