These books will encourage my students to pick materials they can eventually read independently. My students love when I read books to them during online instruction. When I do our daily read aloud I can tell they are all relaxed and engaged. My students also love exchanging their classroom library books each week when they get to come to class in-person. Due to social distancing, our school library is not yet open and I want to give my students the opportunity to pick interesting books at their reading level. It is so important to foster a love of reading at this age.
I want to provide my students high interest books at their independent reading level. My students love reading books online with Epic, but I also want to provide offline reading options for my students. All of these books have been chosen with my students in mind. Students will be able to choose books, which will help them continue to enjoy independent reading time.
With these new books, my students will be able to choose from a variety of books that will allow them to read independently at their level.
They will also be able to choose books that interest them. The best way to increase reading ability is to read more, and these books will continue to help my students grow stronger in reading. My students already have shown an astonishing interest in independent reading, and this project will only help enrich their love of reading!
