My Project My goal: helping my students to have more productive and purposeful lives, by helping them improve their ability to read. MobyMax is a differentiated, self-paced program that promotes skills for students in a number of subjects, including ELA and math. I have found it to be excellent at targeting individual reading deficits and helping students improve those essential skills. I became a certified teacher 10 years ago as a second career, after being a professional architectural interior designer for 25 years. This new career was chosen with a strong desire to give back to my home community in the public sector, benefitting children with my experience, skills, and teaching gifts. I began working with special needs students, and have learned so much from this experience. These children are special, not because they are in special education, but because each of them is unique, with unique abilities and desires. Last year, I paid for MobyMax, a special reading program, out of my own pocket; that is how important I think it is to my students. The biggest benefit: the kids love using MobyMax! Please help make it possible for these students to continue using MobyMax!
