Having these books available in the classroom will provide students with a variety of current young adult books that will keep them reading all year long. They will also allow students to recommend books to one another and participate in activities meant to foster a lifelong love of reading. These books will serve as both a mirror for students to read about characters much like themselves and also as windows to other worlds and cultures. Students attending virtually through live streaming will also be able to request these books and have them added to their weekly material pick-ups.
