The items chosen will be utilized in our classrooms daily to support student learning. Many of my students are easily distracted, struggle with sitting still in class, or need a way to release some energy while learning. Standing up during a lesson is sometimes all that is needed to allow a student to move freely while still paying attention. A stand up desk would be a great addition to our class to support this intervention. Fidgeting with their hands, feet and bodies are some common characteristics of many students as well. A kick band on the legs of their desk, a wobble stool, or a wobble cushion in their chair could be beneficial in allowing these students to release that energy without distracting other students and still being able to learn. It is our vision to provide a safe place where all students matter, all students learn, and all students succeed.
