Even though our book club will be virtual this year, I have decided to have print books given to each of the members so as to build their at home libraries. Also, their screen time has been dramatically increased because of online learning so I want them to have some down time from a digital device. Rita Williams-Garcia is an amazing author whose characters come to life and are truly relatable to our students. My hope is that the readers and I will engage in a discussion about the everyday struggles and emotions young people encounter and relate it to their lives.

About my class
