I have a passion for the Math and Science field. Women are vastly underrepresented in the STEM realm. As a male educator, I want to instill in my students that the learning space and STEM space has room for everyone. By the age of the middle school, girls start to believe that Math & Science "isn't for them." It is my goal to flip that mindset! Not only do I want to inspire my girl students to engage in STEM, but I want to facilitate an environment where everyone feels safe to explore science, technology, engineering, and math. I will use the if/then resources to show all of my students that there is space for girls in the STEM world. Not only will this empower my girl students, but it will show that STEM has no boundaries, regardless or gender, race, or creed. This Ipad will help facilitate my lessons for both in person and remote learning students. We are not quite 1:1 in terms of technology, but this Ipad will help get us that much closer to that goal. My 21st century learners crave engaging lessons and learning stations. This Ipad will help facilitate just that! Students can practice math facts, engage in online science labs, explore the solar system. The STEM world will literally be at their fingertips!
