As we're adjusting to a new environment, one that doesn't have the normal classroom items such as boards, cupboards, and a sink, I still want the students to take on the responsibility of getting their work done, treating each with respect, and working as a team. Cleaning up our room at the end of the day assists us in doing that. Taking on thankless tasks that need to be done is the hallmark of creating a responsible adult, and it can start here in our classroom! A vacuum cleaner, though minor in the grand scheme of things, is a way to foster such responsibility. On top of that, my crew wants to help out!

About my class
