Both of these tools are necessary for student safety and success. Left handed scissors are a necessary tool for obvious reasons: a Left handed student turning out less than optimal work product using a tool that is not designed for the job will dislike that job. Don’t believe it? Try performing professional grade work with a power tool, or signing your name, with your non dominant hand. Let’s give these kids a break and provide them with the safest and most correct tool for any task involving scissors. Sitting alongside the left handed scissors, the wireless document camera is a big ask, but only because it has big benefits to our students. When teachers such as myself travel from room to room, it’s easy for time to get wasted in the transition alone. Add to that the amount of time kids spend waiting for the teacher to set up once they arrive and that’s a lot of missed learning opportunities. This high quality document camera ensures fast and clean set up while also providing an alternative to clustering closely together to view a teacher demonstration. Where safety and success are considered, it is clear that both of these classroom tools provide benefits to students.
