As we have moved into the world of teaching remotely, the technology we use impacts the quality of instruction. To support my students, I need to have the capacity to share videos, demonstrate online tools, and model strategies with online resources. Our current district technology does not have the computing power for me to teach remotely on a meeting platform and share any type of media in my instruction whether I am at home or Isolated in my classroom. My amazing little first graders who are eager to learn, need to have lessons that can run smoothly, have engaging media, and not fail at critical moments in order to maintain their faith and engagement in education. A laptop with enough processing power to present live instruction to students is essential to learning!
