These books will help bring diversity to my classroom. My students want to learn about many different types of people and cultures, but don't have the opportunity to do so in our geographic area. One of the best ways to build empathy and understanding for others is through literature! We will use these books to read aloud together in class to promote inclusion and diversity. I cannot wait to share these stories with my students. This collection will enhance their background knowledge, build academic skills and most importantly encourage cultural sensitivity and inclusion.
