As a teacher, I want to reach my students. I want to give each of them the best I have to give. With the changes in our educational system, needing to provide school for both in-class learners and remote learners, teachers are being asked to do more. We are asked to do two full-time jobs: teach the remote learners to the best of our abilities AND teach our in-class students to the best of our abilities. My students need the best I have to offer so they can give me the best they have to offer. I need to be able to dedicate time to my remote students like I dedicate time to my in-class students. I need to be able to work with my remote students outside of school hours because during the days, I am focused on my in-class learners. Having a laptop will enable me to work with my remote students no matter where I am. All my students will benefit from my ability to answer questions and work with remote students from anywhere because then I can use all of my class time to focus on my in-class students.
