This project will address the students' needs by providing a wide variety of literature of different genres and by exposing students to different styles of literature. Non-fiction is a genre that the students are not exposed to as often so this book set would be very beneficial to the students. The more exposure the students have to different genres, such as non-fiction, the stronger their reading skills will become. The knowledge of a variety of genres will transfer to many areas of the students lives such as in writing. Students will be able to use what they know from reading non-fictional texts to create informative paragraphs that teaches the reader.
