As a recent graduate, I did not have faith that I would be hired for the 2020-2021 school year due to COVID-19. After being blessed with a job opportunity, I am aware of the struggles my students are facing in the mobile classroom. These materials will allow me to reach students in the mobile environment by creating a Language Arts essentials kit. This kit will help differentiate instruction while offering individualized tools to my students.
These tools are ones my students would "normally"
have had access to in the physical classroom but, due to the pandemic, my scholars need take home tool kits. These materials will be used to create small group instruction with manipulatives students can use from the comfort of their home. As students that were impacted from the chaos of COVID, these kits will help remediate the five components of reading.
The whisper phones will be a great hit with my class as they need help with phonemic awareness, pronunciation, and gain reader confidence. This Language Arts kit will change how my students view mobile learning and will be motivated to learn.
