The items on this list will help students whether they are learning remotely from home or at school. If and when it is needed to move to remote learning, whether it is totally online or a hybrid model, our students will have the opportunity to take home iPads to facilitate their learning. The cords are a vital part in keeping the necessary devices charged and working properly. Not only are the technology items providing options of remote learning, but are imperative for in school as well.
Additional library materials are also essential for learning, wherever it may take place. I am constantly adding to our library collection and it is my hope that each student be able to take home library books to keep their reading progressing. I also use an iPad to display "read aloud" books during library/media classes, as well as many slides and activities while teaching digital citizenship.
Our library classes can definitely use the noise meter. It is a fun way for young students to know when the level reaches an unacceptable level and they can learn to monitor themselves — teaching them to regulate their own behaviors.
