The students are currently working on designing a desert, tundra, or a grassland biome with TinkerCAD. They had to research the animals, insects, plants, and trees that are contained in the biome they chose. In addition, they had to determine a target goal from Goal 15 Life on Land in order to help them create action to protect and restore life on land. This is project is being worked on in class and remotely. Students have spent class and home time experimenting with how to use shapes including space, as well as math to figure out the size and rotation of their animal or plant species. This is the first of many projects to help them understand the engineering design process. To make this process real, it would be their dream to generate the artifact they have completed using this 3D printer.
