This project will be part of a series project for my 4th and 5th graders. We will be talking about landscapes and seascapes to learn perspective. Students will complete a multimedia piece, and then create a second piece with yarn and plastic canvas sheets. My students will sew the yarn through the holes of the plastic canvas sheets to create their choice of landscapes or seascapes. This project is to help my students experience different mediums. I am at a Title One school, and many of my students don't have access to unique materials outside of markers, crayons, and colored pencils. I am hoping to use this project to increase their knowledge of art materials and processes.
