Hello everyone! With the COVID-19 in full swing, our school nurses, as you can imagine, are swamped. I thought a first-aid kit staying in my classroom would benefit the constant chaos in the nurses office by taking care of small injuries or concerns in my room. The translation device would be used in my classroom DAILY! I have so many students who struggle because of the language barrier. This would benefit my student, as well as myself, as I would feel a relief lifted because I was able to reach ALL students. Also, parent teacher conferences can be difficult if there is not a translator available. I could use this device to communicate with parents of all cultures, which would be absolutely AMAZING! The scales would provide hands-on experiences in our Science Classroom! We are currently learning about matter and it's interactions and discussing the theory that "mass is never destroyed" is a tough concept when you can't provide evidence like a scale could. This would be beneficial for all students, and even for myself in the event of going virtual, as I could record myself using the scale and working with examples to my students. The ear buds would ensure safety and sanitary precautions to our students! They would not have to share with anyone and they would be allowed to take them home in the case of going virtual for all.
