Children will be able to practice their gross motor skills with activities that include walking, running, and throwing to help to develop their larger muscles in the arms, legs and torso. This will help children to develop body awareness, balance and strength. Activities like playing with a ball and tossing a bean bag with others will help children with social interactions. As children begin to engage in physical activities, you can see improvement in learning at school. Physical activity can help the development of attention and memory which is so needed for school academic performance. Fine motor skills are as important as gross motor skills because they help with coordination of small muscles movements which involve hand, finger and eye coordination.
