While the district is providing a document camera, we are expected to use that as a web cam. Having a web cam and the document camera will allow me to project books onto my screen while the children will still see me on the camera. This will make it easier to make social emotional connections which students need during this virtual learning time. Similarly, the headphones will help me to hear students better while on Zoom meetings with them. Some students can be soft spoken and difficult to hear otherwise. The Scholastic News subscription is digital and paper, which will put issues in student hands (through monthly pick ups) and on their screens. This magazine is a great source of informational reading, as well as information about current events that are high interest to students. The Spring school closure has created learning gaps. The Words to Know books will be used to fill learning gaps and get students up to grade level expectations.
