This is my first year in a classroom. For the past six years, I’ve been a PE teacher and have learned and seen the importance of movement in our lives. I want to use my knowledge and the power of moving bodies in a positive, appropriate, and effective way in my classroom. The wiggle chairs are an excellent way to allow students to have movement in an appropriate way while increasing their ability to concentrate. The ability to help students concentrate is very important this year since we are on a hybrid schedule of in-class and online. I see my students in person only twice a week. The time we have together is very precious and limited. We need to make the best use of our time and spend less on dealing with behavior issues. The wiggle chairs will be extremely beneficial for some students that just need to get the wiggles out and engage in the classroom and learning.
