Our district will be distance teaching and learning online only for at least the first 10 weeks of school. This document camera will allow me to project and share work onto my computer screen which I can share with my students. It will help particularly with Math and Writing. My students are very visual learners and watching me model what we are working on first always helps them. I will be able to show them step by step how to solve Math problems and how to write particular genres of writing pieces. They can also help me do these things verbally as I ask questions, just like I would in our classroom on our SmartBoard. This will bring real-time examples to my students and not just videos. This will allow me to actually teach better because I can not write on my computer screen to show them these things. It will also help with reading passages and book annotations. I can go on and on about how this can help my students. This document camera will truly help me teach my students during this time of online learning.
