The instructional books I chose will help me in providing instruction for students in their areas of need. I target specific skill areas and utilize research based strategies to teach them to the students, which these books will afford me the opportunity to do so. The student books I chose were purposeful in their content and focused on various areas of social-emotional development. Each one was chosen with my students in mind. My goal is to provide a different learning opportunity for students to become caring, considerate, and confident individuals. Picture books about emotion and social-emotional issues can help kids think deeply about feelings and social issues. The various products that I have selected will help my students by giving them a tool to make more effective learning choices. Sensory tools are designed to promote and enhance regulation, focus, and participation. Having a number of sensory tools available to students will help support their needs in a way that is natural as possible.
