My students deserve a chance to hear stories about people who look, live, and learn like them. They need to feel connected to what we are doing in our classroom and know that they are valued and cared for. Using these books and materials are a great way to help them accomplish that. Other students also deserve a chance to learn about different kinds of people around the world and even in our classroom. Students will also have an opportunity to show who they are through their creativity and create with magnets. It is a hands-on way for them to show creativity, design, and create things and also show cooperation while working with others.
