As the Library Media Technician at Casita Center, I enjoy connecting my students and staff with great and engaging literature. Our Mission as an International Baccalaureate school is to develop a community of compassionate, responsible, life-long learners who respect people’s differences and take action to create a more peaceful world. With that in consideration, we choose books that reflect many different perspectives, diverse identities, and cultures. We also strive to make certain that our students see themselves and how others like them have made an impact on our world to make it better. In addition, it is important that students learn to have a love of reading! I have had so much fun finding books that not only enhance research, discovery, imagination but also create a fun time enjoying a great story.
