We are trying to get comfortable seating for our class library, or book nook. In addition to seating, we would like a rug which not only makes this area more comfortable, but provides another educational visual aid (a map of our country)! These materials will help add to the comfort of our classroom and provide another access point for student engagement and learning. I plan to create a space where students are encouraged to select a book of their interest and read at their own pace. Students will enjoy relaxing with their book in a very warm and inviting area of our room - within comfortable seating and an environment which promotes an awareness of the world beyond their hometown. By donating to our project, you are giving students the opportunity to develop a love for reading, an awareness of their world, and the chance to do and be better people!
