Since most of our students are being introduced to school for the very first time I have a plan to get students excited about their learning by increasing the opportunities for student-led learning while setting goals and tracking thier own grow. For this to be successfully I believe students will need lots of motivation both intrinsic and extrinsic in nature. Truthfully, sometimes lessons are limited in their ability to be interactive or hands on. TPT and Scholastic News helps students engage and further extend and articulate their learning in fun ways with their peers. Students are then able to use their new vocabulary and even take their learning home and build on their commication skills by sharing it with their families. Students are then able to make connections to their learning by making meaningful craft products that show what they've learned. With these fun and kid-friendly lesson supplements students are also able to better recall and communicate what they know. Which will ultimately increase overall assessment goals in reading
