These materials will scaffold students by building their reading skills. Therefore, students will be able to read more in other classes and keep up with their peers. Many students do not read now because they are embarrassed that they are reading books clearly labeled for elementary school when they are in high school. Students can take books home and come back to turn them in. Students will be completing reading projects at home to inspire more interest in reading and learning. The students will then create projects about their books and write recommendations.
