ABLE is the program in which most students begin to delve into the world of language acquisition. Words become tangible to them through the use of word work, comprehension practice, and alphabetic principle. We spend the entire year focusing on developing an understanding of words so that they may become avid, lifelong readers. Magnetic letters and dry erase boards are tools that we often use during our literacy instruction; to ensure the safety of our classroom during this pandemic, we must provide each child with an individual set. These resources will be used for word building during both whole and small groups, individual centers, and a myriad of other times in between! Students often use dry erase boards to show answers quickly and receive immediate feedback during whole group instruction. They will be used across every discipline we cover in ABLE! Help me give my students the gift of academic growth during these uncertain times. Not even COVID-19 can stop my young learners!
