Our assistant principal, Dr. Kenton, had the idea to use our courtyard as an outdoor learning environment. We want to safely and equitably use our outdoor space as a strategic, cost-effective tool to increase capacity with physical distancing measures in place. This project will equitably improve learning, mental and physical health, and happiness for children and adults using an affordable, time-tested outdoor approach while keeping school open during a pandemic. Help us transform our outdoor courtyard into a learning environment for our students. The canopies will provide shelter, the chairs a place to sit, and the clipboards will be used to hold their work in place.
