The goal of this project is to build a classroom library to give students access to books outside of the class curriculum that will provide them with diverse viewpoints that they don't encounter in their homogeneous rural community. I want them to be able to expand their horizons before they graduate and prepare themselves to encounter perspectives that differ from their own. These students have a lot to learn about the world outside of their hometown, and having books that give them a window to that world can help them do that.
