Students at my school love to hear a good story. They get excited when I read a favorite story or introduce them to a new story. Storytelling kits are an excellent resource in a school library. The kits help students visualize the story. The kits are a great resource to use to help students retell a story and remember the sequence. Students get excited when I use visual aids during storytime. I believe it is a good way to instill a lifelong love for reading in a young child.
