I have selected items to purchase for my office, both organizational and environmental. As the school counselor, I am in charge of our academic records, clothes closet, and creating a friendly, safe space for students to come to me about their struggles and needs. Besides office supplies, the main items I have selected are two bean bag chairs to create a calming corner in my office. Since I serve 5-8 grades, the way I approach counseling students varies because of the age range. Providing a soft, comfortable space is something I currently don't have, and it would greatly enhance my office area. I also work next to the nurse, and often, we have to use my space for students to relax.
