My classroom is learning about different cultures, people, and traditions. Many of our students haven’t had the opportunity to be exposed to these diverse subjects at home. I want to enrich our classroom with lessons, resources, and opportunities to learn more about the diverse world in which we live and celebrate all of our incredible differences. For many of our students, this is their first experience in a classroom setting. I strive to keep the classroom environment learner-friendly and diverse. I want to create a space where they feel safe and are encouraged to ask questions about the world, including topics like race, diversity, and different cultures. Items in my cart will create opportunity to learn interactively and broaden their horizons about diversity. My class is incredibly creative, and I want to support their understanding of new ideas and consider our classroom a home away from home. Support will make it possible for my classroom to learn and embrace cultural diversity through books, toys, and games. These items will enrich their lives and promote tolerance and social equity. They will ultimately gain skills that will last a lifetime.
