As the social emotional wellness teacher, my job is to help students understand, regulate and process their emotions. When we consider elementary student's ability to do this, it is certainly challenging especially now that we are wearing masks due to COVID-19. These students have also missed out on experiencing normal school experiences, working with friends and being able to play. The goal of this project is to provide students with a way to connect to others through creativity and teamwork while still following instructions. The emotion legos can create the opportunity for emotions to be explored, understood and to create stories about their lego characters.
