This project is designed to provide my students an enriching and challenging unit using third grade ELA standards. Students will read this book in class and we will study the use of comprehension, fluency, summarizing, comparing, along with many other topics during our reading. This unit also allows a hands on experience for students because they will be creating projects and their own chocolate factory at the end of the unit. It is truly special to watch children get so excited about reading. My goal in this project is to show students that reading doesn't have to be boring. Reading can take you in so many directions. I am so grateful for people like donors chose who help provide students with the opportunity to improve their learning experience.
