I am a second year speech language pathologist working in the schools. I am specifically working in a low income school. I am missing vital resources that I need for my students to address their goals as directed on the Individualized Education Program (IEP). Many of my students present with significant articulation impairments, and I do not have card decks and Super Duper workbooks to use to practice with their impaired sounds. With your donation, I would use the Super Duper card decks to work on my students' sounds that they are having trouble producing.
Despite the pandemic affecting my ability to teach fully in person, it continues to be my responsibility to provide fun, evidence-based, and equitable therapy for all. Most of my caseload consists of virtual learning students and they are at home receiving speech and language therapy. I do not have the online resources to work with these students and address their specific speech and language goals. I am requesting a Teachers Pay Teachers gift card to obtain resources like Boom Cards. Boom Cards are digital and interactive activities that can be bought to be used to work on various skills like reading comprehension, inferences, similarities/differences, and articulation. These are engaging and can be used for all ages.
Any donation will make a difference in my students' lives as we are working on their ability to communicate with their peers, family, and friends.
