Each student will be able to have their own set of materials by having individual binders inserted with their academic materials to consolidate all of their classroom work. This enables students to transition easier between their two classrooms (language arts class & math, science & S.S. class). This will minimize the need for a desk as a permanent storage space and allow students to extend their classroom learning if they choose to bring their binders home. As opposed to students needing a class-set of materials to share like highlighters and pencils, students will be able to access their materials (from their binder pouch) and academic literacy work from their inserts in order to annotate, highlight, and analyze their reading and writing activities.
