I am exited to expand my classroom library with more diverse picture books that cultivate meaningful conversations around identity, diversity, anti-racism, anti-bias, and inclusion. In today's world, it is more important than ever to educate our young children to respect and embrace differences and act against bias and unfairness. My first grade team and I have spent a great deal of time this summer developing and expanding our anti-racist/anti-bias curriculum. We are planning on using these books to act as "mirrors and windows" for our students. They will also help us celebrate our differences and similarities.
