This iPad and Apple Pencil will help students participate with our social emotional content: practicing drawing faces, seeing social situations, and learning coping skills. Access to this content will be most important with the trauma of the impact of COVID-19 shutdowns and safety protocols. Students can learn calming strategies and practice seeing themselves doing the exercises. Our district is dedicated to proactive approaches and has a dedicated full-time social worker. I will be able to help both students identified at-risk and students with educational goals surrounding social emotional learning. Our team is supportive and ready to help with the traumas students experienced during COVID-19.
