My students come from low income families in Oakland. While we are working hard to get them the technology needed for distance learning, by providing every student with a Chromebook and hot spots for families without an internet connection. However, mice and headphones are not included, and many families find it difficult to purchase supplies. Having a mouse is a crucial part of navigating through the distance learning programs we are assigning because dragging and dropping is more difficult on a trackpad for kindergarteners. Many of our students have a bustling household, and headphones will help them concentrate and hear the audio more clearly.

About my class
