I am an EL (English Learner) Coordinator and teacher who services our diverse population of ELs! At the middle level, the students go through many changes -- mentally, emotionally, socially, and physically. I strive to help students understand how to maneuver their feelings and actions so that they can be positive community members and be willing to push through any challenges they may face. I build relationships with my students by creating a safe space and positive classroom climate in which they feel comfortable and take risks. We're all learning how to dialogue, work with each other, and support one another so that we can all be successful together.
