I am excited to get back to my speech room, but do so as safely as possible. I know both my students and I would appreciate receiving pencils, scissors, glue, markers, and crayons to continue being creative while making progress toward their speech/language goals, and addressing growing safety concerns with face shields. Students deserve to feel safe and learn better when they do. Brain research has shown that when the basic needs of students to feel protected and supported are met, their brains are free to learn. The anxiety of returning to school can be lessened when they know their "speech teacher" is doing everything to help them be safe and still provide them with individuals supplies and Teachers Pay Teachers resources to take pleasure in addressing their goals through art and creativity.
